Though I’ve always had a passion for making films, I only truly experienced the power of storytelling in 2012 when I traveled to Ethiopia for five weeks, crafting short films with a team of thirty Ethiopian and American Filmmakers. Since then, I have traveled worldwide to places such as Kenya, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Malta and around the US where I spent time filming some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. I frequently revisit that time in Ethiopia and strive to approach each project with the same spirit of curiosity and wonder.
When I'm not shooting, I work as a camera assistant on documentaries, TV, and Features. I’m grateful to have worked on sets with master cinematographers like Roger Deakins, Bruno Delbonnel, Hoyte Van Hoytema Anthony Dod Mantle. Recent highlights include Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (Lower East Side episode), traveling across borders for the recently released Netflix doc series Living Undocumented, Mr. Robot, Woman in the Window, and The Goldfinch.
In my free time, I enjoy going to coffee shops with my wife, watching movies and walking around taking photos, especially with my 3D camera.
